From a mixed media landscape painting. The Return Journey is a view that I saw on a walk one summer evening. We had been researching a new walk for my husbands’ book “Lost Railway Walks” in North West Durham. We had been walking over the heather clad moors and were just about to descend a very steep hill back to Tunstall Reservoir , and the car, when we were treated to this view, which stretched deep into Weardale. The shadows cast long violet shadows across the fields and I thought it was visually stunning scene, so I painted it. The original is painted in acrylic and pencil. The print is 8 x 8 inch square set in a 12 x 12 inch square single card mount. Signed by the artist.
